Balancing the intricate rhythms of her debut with the more introspective and cerebral bent of her work in its wake, the LP thrillingly keeps one foot in the club and the other somewhere far more liminal. Built up from field recordings, analog synths, and digital detritus among other tools, upsammy threads the needle with her own voice. While often distorted or mangled with AutoTune, her words and non-verbal coos form their own sort of uncanny valley.
