The Golden Age of Apocalypse
Thundercat | The Golden Age of Apocalypse LP
The first full-length on Brainfeeder by bassist and vocalist Thundercat. The album is produced by label head Flying Lotus, who enlisted Thundercat to play bass on 'Mmmhmm,' a track from last year's 'Cosmogramma'. That guest appearance was just one in a long line of high profile gigs for the Los Angeles native: Thundercat's past credits include live performances and studio sessions with everyone from Snoop Dogg to the thrash metal band Suicidal Tendencies, for whom he's still a full-time member. 'The Golden Age of Apocalypse' collects 13 tracks that Thundercat, real name Stephen Bruner, recorded over a long period of time, and that were only considered for release at Flying Lotus' urging. Guest appearances come from, among others, Erykah Badu and Bruner's grammy award-winning brother, the drummer Ronald Bruner, jr.
Black vinyl pressing housed in a full color sleeve with inner sleeve. C1-D5 from the band's 1988 self-release cassette Brotherhood of Lizards. Insert includes "Martin's Tale" and "Nelson's Tale." ‚Ä®
